Changelog
New capabilities and improvements to the platform, newest first.
August 2026
- New
Filings are held complete rather than sliced into fragments, so a citation takes you to the exact section of the document it came from. Annual reports from non-US filers are parsed the same way.
- Improved
Agents can read a single section of a filing, such as MD&A or risk factors, instead of working through the whole document. Long PDF reports now carry a table of contents with page links.
- New
Hosted Connectors are MCP servers Marvin Labs runs and authenticates for you, so there is no URL to paste and no API key to manage. They are on by default, with a switch in settings for each one. The first covers the full text of US federal legislation from GovInfo.
- New
Common Ground Update reports what is genuinely new at an earnings. It opens with a short overview of what changed, treats contradictions and reversals as news, and leaves out results that simply came in as expected. Run it from the agent launcher or ask for it in chat.
- Improved
When a question matches an analysis one of the agents already does well, chat hands it to that agent instead of assembling the answer document by document. Those answers come back in fewer steps.
- New
Scheduled and recurring agent runs can now keep a task list, take notes as they work, and run calculations. An unattended run plans its own work and computes figures rather than estimating them.
- New
Uploaded documents open in a proper viewer showing the document's details and the companies it relates to, instead of the raw file. Text and Markdown render in place, and both the original and its Markdown version export from one menu.
- New
Ticker links now work for digit-led Asian listings such as $9697.T and $000660.KS, hyphenated share classes such as $BRK-B, and mixed letter-digit lines such as $VOW3.DE. Dollar amounts stay plain text.
July 2026
- Improved
Company search now matches a company's cross-listing tickers, so searching the US line finds the same company as its home listing.
- New
Upload your own documents: broker research, internal memos, third-party data, and transcripts we do not crawl. PDF, plain text, and Markdown, filed in the company's document list and available to AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents. Uploads stay private to your account on Standard and Pro, with sharing across your organisation on Enterprise.
- Improved
Money and EPS now appear in the company's own reporting currency rather than defaulting to dollars, across headline earnings, headline financials, and the interactive statements.
- Improved
Price charts now work for companies whose home listing chart providers do not recognise, and a company with no usable price feed shows a placeholder rather than an empty slot.
- Improved
An answered question in chat collapses to one line showing what you picked, and a finished task list folds into a single row you can expand. A list stays open if one of its steps failed.
- New
Deep Research Agents can run on their own from a new hub. Schedule one for the weekdays and hour you choose in your timezone, or have it fire when a new filing, earnings release, or transcript lands. Point it at your watchlist or a specific list of companies and have the report emailed to you.
- Improved
Company Focus and your usage limit now sit on a quiet line under the chat input rather than as chips in the toolbar. The limit stays muted until you get close to it.
- New
The agent can ask you a question part-way through an answer, with options to click or a free-text reply, then carry on in the same turn. It asks instead of guessing what you meant.
- Improved
The Tariff Impact Tracker, company pages, and the By Marvin Analysts index appear as soon as you click them in the sidebar instead of waiting for the whole page to render.
- New
Connect your own MCP servers from settings. AI Analyst Chat and Deep Research Agents can then use tools from your market-data vendors, fundamentals providers, and internal systems alongside filings, earnings calls, and press releases.
- Improved
Where a connected MCP server covers ground Marvin Labs already has, the assistant uses the validated in-house figures first and treats the external server as a fallback. Any disagreement between the two is flagged.
- New
The agent lays out multi-step work as a live checklist in chat, so you can watch each step move from pending to done.
- New
The agent runs calculations in a sandboxed Python environment, so figures like CAGR, ratios, margins, and unit conversions are computed rather than estimated.
- Improved
AI Credit limits raised across every plan. Standard moves to 2,000 credits a day and Pro to 10,000, and the free evaluation becomes a 1,500-credit allowance you spend at your own pace. The chat composer shows your usage per window, with a breakdown of each limit and when it resets.
- Improved
Answers in AI Chat and Deep Research now pass a citation check. Any claim that drifts from its underlying source is caught and corrected before the answer settles, with a Correction banner when that happens.
- Improved
A chat turn resumes on its own if your connection drops while the work carries on server-side, and it follows you across browser tabs. A flaky connection or a tab switch no longer costs you an answer in progress.
- New
A standalone Watchlist page lets you search, add, remove, and restore companies in one place.
- Improved
Notification settings rebuilt. Document-update alerts can be scoped to your watchlist or to all companies, per document type, with platform updates as a separate control.
June 2026
- New
Long chat threads can be compacted with /compact, or automatically as a thread nears its limit, so you can keep working in the same conversation. /to-notes turns a chat into a note.
- Improved
Recent runs, the chat sidebar, and thread titles update as work finishes, so a completed run or a renamed chat appears without a refresh.
- New
Wide financial tables in chat stay readable instead of sprawling across the screen, with a row-oriented layout for the tables that need it.
- New
Deep Research Agents launch from a list on the home page, and the company Guidance page runs on these agents: current state, long-term performance, and earnings performance.
- New
Answers containing data tables render as proper financial tables with typed number formatting, and each one exports to Markdown, CSV, or Excel.
- Improved
Guidance results rebuilt as structured tables. Each commitment shows its latest guided value, a source-linked date, its development history, and a beat, met, or missed outcome with accuracy and discipline scores.
- New
The Sentiment page compares a company against its peers in one chart, with a demo view for free accounts.
- Improved
Tables in SEC filings render more reliably. Multi-level headers, units rows, and split currency symbols now hold together, and layout tables flatten into readable prose.
May 2026
- New
Analyst notes can carry a numbered list of watch conditions, each with a one-line summary you can expand for the full detail.
- New
The chat composer shows how many of your daily questions you have used, so your remaining credits are visible at a glance.
- New
Analyst notes can open with a thesis highlight block, a status card that states where the thesis stands before the detail follows.
- New
Print-ready PDF export for agent results, with a cover page, running header, footer disclaimer, and page numbers.
- Improved
AI Analyst Chat opens from the header with the Chat button or Cmd/Ctrl+J, and the conversation stays with you as you move around the app.
- New
By Marvin Analysts, a home for analyst-authored research notes, with author bylines and shareable links.
April 2026
- Improved
AI Chat shows its reasoning and each source it opens as it works, instead of waiting until the whole answer is ready.
- Improved
The Tariff Impact Tracker runs on live agent data, with a last-updated timestamp and a link through to the underlying result.
- New
Email notifications for new filings: one batched email when companies you watch publish, with one-click unsubscribe.
March 2026
- Improved
AI Chat answers now carry the surrounding context from a filing rather than an isolated line, and repeated facts are collapsed.

Ask AI Chat about a company's competitors, partners, suppliers, and customers.

Web search in AI Chat brings in news, industry context, and product announcements.
- New

/rename and /star handle thread management straight from the chat composer.

Ask about a different company part-way through a conversation without starting over.
