Marvin Labs Appoints Steven Carroll as Strategic Advisor
Marvin Labs announces the appointment of Steven Carroll as Senior Strategic Advisor. Steven brings 25 years of senior leadership experience in financial information services across the US, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, with deep expertise in the content sets and desktop tools that professional investors use every day. His appointment strengthens Marvin Labs' focus on delivering expert-level AI for buyside and sellside analysts.
A Career Across Financial Information Services
Steven was most recently Head of Customer Strategy and Execution at LSEG, responsible for customer go-to-market across LSEG Workspace, Data and Feeds, FTSE Russell, and Risk Intelligence and Analytics. Before that he ran global sales strategy for LSEG's Investment and Wealth Solutions business, covering Lipper and the research, portfolio management, and quantitative content sets. Earlier, at Refinitiv, he was Managing Director, ASEAN and Head of Market Development for APAC Investment and Advisory. Steven is the founder of CCAS, a London-based advisory practice for information services firms, and holds the CFA Institute Investment Management Certificate.
Deep Expertise in Analyst Workflows and AI
Steven is a subject-matter expert on the primary content that powers buyside and sellside decision making, including fundamentals, estimates, broker research, transcripts, sentiment, ESG, and credit analytics. He has also worked closely with the systems that sit on top of that content, from research management platforms to wealth and advisor tech. That combination maps directly to what Marvin Labs is building: an AI investment analysis copilot that turns primary financial content into material insights through AI Analyst Chat, Deep Research Agents, and validated Material Summaries.
A Strategic Addition to Marvin Labs
Based in London, Steven will advise the leadership team on product and customer strategy as Marvin Labs expands its coverage and capabilities for professional analysts. His experience scaling information services businesses into buyside and sellside firms is directly applicable as Marvin Labs grows its footprint across asset managers, hedge funds, and broker research teams.

Alex Hoffmann, co-founder and CEO of Marvin Labs, commented on the appointment: "Steven has spent his career inside the content and workflows that professional investors rely on every day. That is the perspective we want in the room as we scale Marvin Labs into more firms and more coverage."
Steven added: "Marvin Labs is building the kind of AI tooling I spent years wishing existed on the analyst desktop. It is built for professional workflows, grounded in the work analysts actually do, and honest about what it does. I am glad to be advising the team."

Alex is the co-founder and CEO of Marvin Labs. Prior to that, he spent five years in credit structuring and investments at Credit Suisse. He also spent six years as co-founder and CTO at TNX Logistics, which exited via a trade sale. In addition, Alex spent three years in special-situation investments at SIG-i Capital.
